Tweaked save/BAB progression

So they're easier to hit but harder to punch through and damage.
But... they're already too easy to hit. Like I said, AB scales faster than AC, especially after 20th level or so. All you're doing, really, is shuffling the numbers around - it's easier to hit, but the monsters have DR. But you give the everyone a damage bonus to overcome the DR. So, after everything is said and done, it just means that everyone can hit each other more easily, and they might do slightly less damage.

Yeah AC is really the one great Achilles heel of my attempts to rejigger the math. I can bring AB/Saves/ and even DCs back in line. But the one thing that I have tinkered with to no end is AC. No matter what I do I can't completely unify its mechanics with the other 3 and still retain a working set of probabilities. I'll probably go back and try working out a better formula via the Upper Krust numbers to use as a base of AC, because I want them to retain a probability of being hit at any given level comparable to core 3e. But I really prefer to leave armor as DR and that means a BAB like AC progression. Probably based worked into the creature type functions.

Like I said, I already tried that - I was using his formulas for the ACs. You have to use the EAB - there's no way around it. You can, however, start it at BAB +20 - it won't mess up anything really badly to extend the middle AB another 10 levels, and the low AB is the same as the EAB. If you can find a better way to do it, I'd love to see it (seriously), but I don't think it'll happen.

I know, you're solution does work better than mine and the two can be meshed fairly easily. I just have a completist bug that makes me want to find a way to make it work all the way through even if it doesn't look possible.

I hope you can find a way - I'll bow to your superior intellect. :D
