D&D 5E Twinning Meta Magic Ability

Hi Folks,
Hopefully an easy question. Does Twinning work with Magic Missile? My take on this is that it wouldn't as MM can affect multiple targets and not a single target. What are other people's opinions on this? Thanks for any help with this!!

You are correct, twinning doesn't work on any spell that can have multiple targets.

It doesn't work by RAW or RAI, but you could easy set it up that if you want to use twin spell on possible multy target spell that you must use it on a single target, both primary spell and the twinned one.

I.E. twin magic missile would be all 3 missiles at one target and all of the twinned and the other target.

I would even allow twinned fireball, but with the term that they must be casted as two fireballs touching but not intersecting at any point. Basically just double the AoE.
