Well, they also totally ruined her stats while they were at it - "Why the Devil is the Simbul a Sorceror 20 / Archmage 2 / Wizard 10 when being a Sorceror/Wizard is the absolute height of horrible choices?" is a much more valid complaint I certainly remember making back when that book first came out.

Yeah, she should retrain and swap the wizard levels for ulitmate magus levels

Since there were no epic rules yet at that time (IIRC), having 32 total levels is a very good choice considering that the PCs stopped at 20
