Two Wepon - Pistols?

Two weapon fight now applies to thrown weapons. However, it doesn't apply to small projectile weapons (such as pistols). I use an advanced technology level in my game and want to build a 2-pistol fighting character. Is there a feat in d20 modern for this? What else should be in this build?

If you have seen the movie Equilibrium you will understand the "cleric" concept I am going for here.

I would treat them equal to hand crossbows ruleswise.

You can shoot, but not load, a hand crossbow with one hand at no penalty. You can shoot a hand crossbow with each hand, but you take a penalty on attack rolls as if attacking with two light weapons.

Cool, thanks.

Why do they have to hide things like that in individual item descriptions? They could have said "one handed ranged weapons" under the TWF rules, but noooo, they have to go and hide it.

You're right there. I thought 3E5 was supposed to be better and more intuitively written. But as I see it they kept most of the mistakes from the previous edition and added a few more.

What gets me is that there was a focus on CRs being incorrect. I would think that this component of the game would have gotten a little more scruteny.

*SPOILER FOR THE MOVIE EQUILIBRIUM*

Just wanted to say that the gun fu/wing chun sticky hand with guns scene at the end of Equilibrium made up for that movie. That was just an awesome scene!

In d20 Modern, TWF applies to ranged and melee weapons. But you need improved TWF (or armed to the teeth) to use a melee weapon in one and a ranged weapon in the other.

Regarding 3.5e: after reading the Equipment section of the Revised SRD, you can fire a hand crossbow in your off hand as a light weapon. You cannot reload if your other hand is holding something other than a spare bolt.

Regarding d20 Modern: the two-weapon fighting rules allow you to use either two ranged or two melee weapons. ITWF feat waive the restriction; you can mix-n-match.

I think the facial made the movie, but that is just me. I just love the concept of gun fu/gun fencing. Now I just need to create a whirlwind feat for dual-wielding pistols :D

I dunno. It kind of had a Fahrenheit 451 thing going for it. Absurd concept, yet the execution was decent. Of course, I may be judging it from the perspective of someone who saw the movie free of charge (support your local library, :)).
