D&D 5E (2014) Tyranny of Dragons: Galvan the Blue

Just curious, has anyone done anything interesting with Galvan the Blue in your Tyranny of Dragons campaign? My group is starting chapter 4 of HotDQ, where the storyline opens up a lot, and I'm thinking about ideas on how to use Galvan, since his section was apparently cut from the books.

Has there been any hint as to what was in the cut section, btw?

Anyway, I'd love to hear how other people have handled Galvan, or any ideas you may have.

My party is just wrapping up HotDQ, and I haven't planned out the arc through RoT yet, so I'll be watching with interest to see what others suggest.
