It would be much better to allow the back button to display a cached listing, especially for mobile or dial-up users.

This would probably also help go easier on the database itself.

I hit back and...nothing.

That is actually my number one biggest issue with the forum software here... that it reloads the page when you hit back, because of all the dynamic content supposedly. That's quite annoying.

Copying long posts to clipboard before hitting submit is a good precaution... it's pretty sad, however, that this is necessary. A high grade forum software like this shouldn't have such fundamental flaws.

Well, we'll be moving to vBulletin 4 soon, so these issues may well go away.
