D&D 4E UK 4E Launch Event at The London Dungeon

I'm guessing there'll be nothing here in Bristol, and I almost certainly wont be in London for the 4E launch event. Oh well.

Launch party at the London Dungeon sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately, my two gaming groups and I already have plans for "4th Edition Weekend", as we've called it.

It starts with random rummaging through the books, booze and some bad/classic fantasy movies on Friday, BBQ and character creation on Saturday afternoon and running a couple of games on Saturday night. The idea is to get a feel for the mechanics before committing to a character for our new 4E campaigns.

I should have realized that there would be launch parties and tried to organize our do for another weekend. Ah well, there's always 5th Edition.

I haven't been to any of their evenings, but they truly are an *F* LGS. I'll be there on the 7th, so I may meet some of you multitude of Cambridge gamers then!

Don't know if I'll be there on the 7th as I'm not planning to go 4e and family, RL, and good weather might tempt me to be elsewhere (punting anybody? )

Got to agree however that Inner Sanctum really are a proper FLGS - I was in last week looking for Mongoose Traveller - they ordered it for me, got it in 3 days and were in touch as soon as it arrived to let me know they had it saved for me.

Proper friendly service - it's nice to actually have a decent gaming store in Cambridge again.

Regrettably I'm busy that evening, otherwise a trip to the London Dungeon would have been fun.

For those thinking about going to the London Dungeon Event, I can't recommend it enough. I had a great time there last year at the Worldwide event, and I reckon it'll be just as good this time.

Unfortunately, I didn't find out about last year's event until it was booked out. This year, thanks to EN World, I found out in time. I called Mike at Leisure Games and he e-mailed me saying I was in.

I'm an American grad student currently in Cambridge for a couple months (well, currently in Montreal for the weekend, but back to Cambridge next week). I'm planning on attending the London Dungeon event, then seeing if I can make it back on the 7th for the game day.

I already talked to Chris_Nightwing about this, but if anyone's running Keep on the Shadowfell I'd love to play.
