UK RPG Day--21 July!

I'm happy to announce July 21 as the first UK RPG Day!

UK RPG Day is a day of RPG-related events held at game retailers across the UK and Ireland. Participating stores will organize events and activities at their stores, and will have FREE adventures and quick-start roleplaying games for gamers who drop by.

The goal is to inspire gamers to try new RPGs, or perhaps even to bring a friend along and introduce someone new to the fantastic hobby that is roleplaying games. Oh, and to have a little fun along the way!

A dozen leading RPG publishers are supporting UK RPG Day with brand-new adventures and quick-start rules, much specifically produced for UK RPG Day.

The day is being organized by Esdevium Games, the UK's largest game distributor, and it's free for stores that want to participate. However, supplies of free materials are limited, so if you're a retailer, contact your Esdevium sales rep right away!

Isn't that the day the Harry Potter book is released? I think you're going to find a lot of people tucked up with that book instead.

Although the general fantasy interest may be a drawer.

I ran a M&M one off with Childe Harold (lego Harry Potter) being the major villan a while back.

Also next day is London Gameforce, which might get some additional drawers

Charles - are you going to make use of free pdfs published for freerpgday, or is this completely other stuff.

I'd love to run a SWSE or M&M one off, maybe I'll do that at gameforce targetting newbies.
