You guys think Improved Init is USEFUL? A feat you use one time per combat to get a 20% chance of going first, and is only useful for one round?

Why does everyone keep saying II is only usful one round? You keep going before the opponent each turn, you force them to react to you. Going first lets you control the battle, and controlling the battle normally means your winning it.

Power Attack is as good as Monkey Grip.
Only used by combatants. Where as every dragon has Improved Initiative!

Weapon Finesse is gone, and Im so sad the only feat with class and style has now gone.
Power Attacks only a consideration for some dwarf fighter with problems in playtesting! "I want to do more damage, like them casters!" and bam, 2 times damage forsaken by power attack while two handed.... but that guy wanted a scythe too...

No, because after the first attack, you go into ping-pong mode. I act, you act, I act, you act. After the first attack, it doesn't matter who went first. In the second and beyond rounds. you're always reacting to your opponents last attack, no matter if he went first or you did.

Hmm, it seems that many of us that prefer Improved Initiative cannot read poll instructions very well! What a testament to the eventual winner. Will they say it won despite our stupidity, or because of it?

And why couldn't we have just put 20 or so feats into one poll and voted FOR our favorite a long time ago? The relative scores would have been a lot more revealing than this trainwreck excorcise.
