Un-hittable druid- legal?

Cheiromancer

Adventurer
Here's the plan:

Human Druid 15/Fighter 1
Initial abilities: Str 10, Dex 10, Con 14, Int 13, Wis 18, Cha 9
all increases to wisdom.

Feats
1. Spell Focus: Conjuration, Augment Summoning
3. Craft Wondrous Item
6. Natural Spell
9. Speaking Wild Shape
12. Hover
15. Craft Magic Arms and Armor

Fighter bonus feat is Combat Expertise.

Equipment (Items with a * are crafted by the druid, and so the enchantment cost has been reduced by 1/2):
Wild Dragonhide Plate +5 (32,000* + 3,300) = AC +13
Wild Tower Shield +5 (32,000* + 180)= AC +9
Monk’s Belt (13,000) = AC + wis +1
Amulet of Natural Armor (25,000*) = AC +5
Dusty Rose Ioun Stone (+1 insight bonus to AC)= 2500*gp
Gloves of Dexterity +6 (18,000*)

Suggested wealth for a 16th level character is 260,000 gp, so this is less than half what the character could afford.

Wildshaped into legendary Ape form (medium animal, MotW): Str 30, Dex 22 (16+6), Con 16, Int 12, Wis 22, cha 10, Natural armor 11 (6+5). The ape wears gloves and belt as a human would, but the wild armor is merged with his form.

Armor Class: 10 base +6 dex + 6 wis + 1 monk + 1 insight + 11 natural armor + 22 armor + 5 combat expertise = AC 62

Is this legal? In another few levels a homemade headband of perfect excellence and tome of understanding +5 will push the AC up by another +6.

[edit]bumped Int to qualify for Combat Expertise. Added size of legendary ape (medium)[/edit]
[edit]doesn't qualify for Contemplative (no miracle at CL 17, so no home-made Tomes of Understanding. :([/edit]

Firstly, you're not unarmoured (even though the armor "cannot be seen"), so you can't use the Monk's Belt.

Secondly, you don't meet the Int 13 prereq for Combat Expertise.

Thirdly, you forgot the -1 Size penalty for being Large.

Fourthly, if alllowed, Essential Blade AND Bane of the Forge negate most of that. Insight and Dex bonus will still stand, but the rest is gone.

Well yeah the monks belt wouldn't work regardless, but animated is +1 cheaper than wild and gives basically the same benefit (shield can still be sundered tho, it can't with wild)

It makes it harder to play the "Don't mind me, I'm just an innocent ape with gloves and a belt" card when you've got a magic shield tagging along behind you like a puppy, too.

Good point about the intelligence.

MotW says that Legendary Ape is medium-size.

What makes you say I am armoured? I have an armour bonus, but the armour is all melded with my body.
