Unarmed Rogue AV & MP (Look its a monk!)

So what your saying is that even though the belt says included unarmed attacks, and you're using an unarmed weapon to make the attack (Keep in mind Spiked gauntlets take up your hand slot not weapon slot when enchanted) that you are in fact, not making an unarmed attack with it.

Unarmed attack is a specific weapon. It is an Improvised Weapon, has no proficiency bonus, and is of the unarmed type.

Spiked Gauntlet is a Simple Melee weapon, and is of the unarmed type.

Unarmed attack does not include Spiked Gauntlet--if it did, it would say 'attack with an unarmed' and not mention a specific weapon by name.

---Spiked gauntlet uses the arms slot? There might be a few weapons with properties and powers that don't care if you're using the weapon... might be worthwhile for some to find their way into your arms slot if you don't find some other arms stuff you want....

As a DM, if a PC using this rule was struck by a power that disarmed them, I would still have to mechanically consider them 'disarmed' - i.e. use a minor action to retrieve the 'weapon'. Maybe their gauntlet got dented or their wrist sprained.. might be something as simple as 'that parry shifted your fighting stance and you need to reset yourself.' Flavor as desired. I'm fresh from the 'can you use Phantom Chasm on a dragon?' thread in the House Rules forum, so this is a retread for me.

Incidentally: does exorcism of steel say what effect it has on an opponent with no weapon? I'd probably use that and consider it to be a (incredibly rare, minor and specific) perk of the feat.

Actually, the Ranger would work even better for the class when coupled with Twin Strike. You have the makings of a really cool front-loading alpha striker with Hunter's Quarry, Two Weapon Fighting, Two Weapon Defense and Lethal Hunter with Frenzied Skirmish (that would emulate the Stunning Fist ability).
