Undersea/Flying ships, help wanted

Awesome, thanks! I will give serious thought to Mage Armour. All I could think of was Wall of Force and that seemed too high in level.

First thought - how do I account for the increase in defensive capabilities this will give the ship? Handful of possibilities later, leaning towards 'there are none. the spell effect is being spread further than in an actual mage armour spell, consequently keeps air in but nothing else is hindered'

Although, that would mean I can not use the rest of your excellent idea about boarding actions. But if there is an impermeable Force barrier intership combat might be hampered?

And, anyone care to comment on the idea of the spells 'Swim' and 'Marathon Swim', as mentioned in the first post?
