Given my reaction to the first film was just "That's possibly the most average film I've ever seen", I'd actually prefer a horribly awful sequel to a moderately average one.

Oh well. Hopefully they've learned some lessons from the first one.

Ditto. Not sure what all the complaints are about, but I loved the first one, and I'm very much looking forward to the next one.

Of course, I'd never heard of Underworld before the movie, so I can't compare it to anything. But on its own, I think the movie was fantastic. (And really, it has Kate in it, which is all you really need... )

So what happened to the White Wolf/Nancy Collins lawsuit?

This is the latest information I can find. In short; it's a slow process, so although wheels are turning, nothing much has happened recently.

For what it's worth, Underwolf 2 at least demonstrates that Sony has some confidence in their case. I think it's a big mistake by White Wolf.
