Underworld 3

I'll definitely be seeing this, love the premise and I really liked the previous films. Losing Beckinsale is unfortunate because her character was pretty interesting as well, but with casting Rhona Mitra I can't complain.

I prefer the pre-gunpowder age of this prequel to the others, though all were enjoyable movies. My hand continually twitched to hit the nonexistent pause button so that I could admire the sets and artistry of the setting.
Definitely a gamer must-see.

Definitely a gamer must-see.

Depends on the gamer. I saw this movie only because my girlfriend wanted to (she really liked Underworld, if mainly for Kate Beckinsale in leather :p) and went in with very low expectations. And I wasn't disappointed. Simplistic plot-line which you can predict without effort, poor acting (Rhona Mitra is wooden and Bill Nighy chews more scenery than Godzilla), no character development, unexceptional action scenes and CGI, and the individual most ludicrous sex scene that I've ever seen. In short, for me, it's a baaaaad movie!

Talk about surprising me. My brother and I went, and I didn't expect much. But surprise surprise it was agood movie. I enjoyed the sword play far more than the excess gun play of the later movies. I also like how this didn't feel like a tacted on prequel. It felt natural and made me say more of
Oh that makes sense now. As opposed to saying

"MEDACLORIANS???!!!"

I wasn't sure what to expect going in. The group I was out with wanted to see it, and I couldn't get into the film.....the acting wasn't the best, the storyline was pretty basic......I made it until the point that a bunch of characters were hiding in the woods, then the next thing I knew, my wife was elbowing me because I was snoring.

Only the second movie I've fallen asleep to in the theatre, in my life :(

I made up for my disappointment by seeing the much better "Defiance" a few days later.

Too heavy on the colour filter and Bill Nighy did overdo his acting. When he was not speaking he did pretty well IMHO, but most his speaking parts suffered the "overemphasize -pause- overemphasize" routine he used as Davey Jones in PotC.

I was satisfied with the movie because i went to see werewolves storming a castle and not much else.

And I got the feeling the studio may be setting up for a prequel to this prequel.

Shilsen-

Not meaning to judge, but genuinely curious, did I read this correctly? Your girlfriend liked Underworld mainly for Kate Beckinsale in leather? :O
