Sorry about the haphazard way I posted the above info. I type slowly, and only just got the catalog, so I added info as I read it. I figured you folks would want the info quickly.

Everyone seems excited about Unearthed Arcana... but what is in it? I have yet to see any info about what it will have.

Also, is that right "Expanded Psionics Handbook"? Title sounds fishy to me.

Oops. Sorry.
Unearthed Arcana, quoting from the catalog,
"... a wide choice of variant rules for alternate roleplaying in a D&D campaign. designed to expand the options available for customizing gameplay, these variant rules are modular and can be imported into any existing campaign in any amount desired. Examples of variant rules include playing core classes as prestige classes and alternate damage systems. Brand-new rules also appear, including a new system of metamagic feats and a new spell system."
Written by Andy Collins, Jesse Decker, David Noonan, and Rich Redman. 224 pages. $34.95

I will certainly take a look at the Unearthed Arcana and d20 Weapons Locker books. I will pass on the PsiHB and the FR material.

I doubt the WotC screen will be as nice as the revised Kenzer screen due out soon, but I will take a look at it as well. Even if the WotC screen is inferior, I will still probably get it for the d20 Modern screen.

Alternate damage systems and new spell system? Sold.

Playing some of the cores as prestige classes might be nice as well (paladin for example). I also hope they include rules for playing low magic games.

I wonder if the alternate damage system will be more than just the one WP/VP system? Maybe locational crits? That might be fun...
