I'm trying to create a spell that would allow someone to see who or what has been moving through a local. At first it should show whether people have been though the area, then number, power of creatures, and maybe what they are.
It is not my intention for any of you to creat this spell for me, or to outshine the tracking ability of the ranger.
This is what I have so far.
Unnatural sight
Divination
Level: Druid 4, Ranger 2, Sor/wiz 4
Components:
Casting time: Standard action
Range: Personal
Effect: 60ft circular emanation
Duration: 1 round/level.
Saving Throw: No
Spell resistance: No
With this spell you view all the movements of the past hour. This only includes living creatures and does not include moving objects, undead or constructs. One the first round you become aware if any creatures have been in the area in the past hour. In the next round you get an idea of the number of creatures, although you receive no clear indication the number forms in you head like an old memory.
After another rounds you begin to see coloured silhouettes outlining where the movement took place, with stronger forms indicating more time spent in that area, whereas fainter shapes indicate a speedier pace. Although it is easy enough to make a comment about this to your party it takes the skill of someone with the Track feat to analyse it further.
In three rounds time the caster becomes away of the silhouettes changing colour revealing some small information. If the creature was heavily injured they’re silhouette may appear weaker, whilst a happy creature’s silhouette may appear to glow, and a creature that had just run into a large amount of money might glitter
