not that i'm being nitpicky or anything, but does anyone know why it has to be a printout of the pdf version, rather than a printed version from another program? just wondering why...

The PDF is, mostly, unchangeable. Line breaks, etc., will all be consistent.

WotC's concern is a very real one that someone will change a term in the agreement and their review will miss the change and later on they find out they have an obligation that catches them by surprise.

This is not really a negotiation - it's more like a take it or leave it type of offer. Or, if you like, a contest with the terms the same for all entrants. Either way it's critical that the agreement be unchanged, and using a PDF is one of the easiest ways be certain (well, mostly) that it will be unchanged.

ok, that makes sense. i was just wondering...
it's not like i'm going to call wotc and tell them they need to accept my submission as is or i'll send it elsewhere... ;)

I read somwhere (Obviously not here), that they'll roundball a submission for whatever minor reason, like misspellings. That's my worry, as there's a word in my submission which might not appear on a regular spell-checker, but which isn't a misspelling. So WILL submissions be thrown out if they have misspellings? Should I just take the word out, even though its the name of some bad guys in my world, so as not to risk the ire of a spell checker?

Can you switch the order of the points?

Say I wanted to bring up the threats/conflict villain bit before Who and What are the heroes?

Would that be a major infraction of the "rules" and get the proposal roundfiled?

EDIT: Never mind I have found the answer to this.

Hey, am181d:

Thanks a LOT for posting the compendium of FAQ answers above. I referred to it several times during the final compilation of my team's submission. Your efforts are much appreciated!
