unplanned days

So I am going to my first Gen Con!:D
I have scheduled all of Thursday and Friday about half EN-World games and half-ticketed games. I did not find anything compelling on Saturday or Sunday that I was able to get tickets for. Am I doomed to hanging out in the dealers hall for two days or will I find enough pick-up RPG action to have a full Con? I am not averse to buying generic tickets, but I do not want to play magic. I have H1,H2 and H3 LFR PCs and a Pathfinder Chronicles level 1 that I will be bringing.
thanks,

You can spend a good amount of time in the dealers hall and not be bored in my opinion. You can demo games as various booths or spend the time searching for some product that has eluded you or simply browsing the wares.

Otherwise, are the Pathfinder Society Games sold out for Saturday and Sunday? They can be a good time.

Two years ago, I had no problem getting into LFR games with generic tickets. They run a huge number of tables for those, and there are always no-shows. You just need to show up & get onto the waiting lists early, then be patient & not give up while they figure out how many more people they can fit into those games. I made it into both games I tried for.

I'll be running games in the Family Fun area of the dealer hall Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Stop on by and join in the fun. I'm not sure if generics are required or just showing up. At the least, it can be fun to watch young players enjoying miniatures battles.

After spending more time with the schedule, I found that there was stuff to do (plenty of Pathfinder). (OMG it just went from sunny to pouring in 15 minutes!). Now I feel less worried. There is also an indie game pick-up muster at 10 every day.

Generic tickets are usually enough to get you into LFR tables as well if you find yourself with nothing do do for a slot.

*Doomed* to hang out in the dealers' hall???

I never have enough time to get through it all, no matter how much time I give it! That, and the auction store, and the art show, etc. :)
