Unusual racial bonuses

A friend of mine recently sent me a PM regarding a supplement he'd seen a while back and couldn't remember now. I couldn't identify it, so I'm turning to my knowledgeable brethren here on EN World.

Does anyone know what product he's referring to?

I remember reading a suppliment in a store once that had something in it I want to find again, but I can't remember what it was called. I was hoping you could help me.

The section I'm interested in talked about normal races (like humans) that were raised under unusual circumstances, and thus gained a set of unusual bonuses and penalties at 1st level. In particular, I remember mention of a build where a normal human was raised by and/or lived with giants, and thus developed the ability to pick up, carry, and use larger than normal objects and implements simply from having to do it all the time, day in and day out.

This constituted some sort of penalty, the nature of which I cannot remember, but the benefits were an inherent bonus to Strength, and the ability to manipulate Large objects without penalty (including weapons). I think the designation was something along the lines of "Scion of Strength," but I'm not sure if that's right, and Googling Scion of Strength doesn't show any results, so that's probably not correct.

Do you have any idea what I'm talking about? I'd greatly appreciate a point in the right direction.

I think you're looking for "Prodigy of Strength". It's from DMG2, but also appears in Exemplars of Evil (which is where I found it).

It gives +2 to Strength, and a +4 bonus on Strength-based ability and skill checks (this is from Exemplars of Evil, so it could be incomplete...).

EDIT: In fact, Exemplars may be the book... The character that has it is a friend of the giants, formerly prisoner. He got used to giant-sized stuff after living with them for years...
