Upcoming Adventure Review

OK, I have completely thrown out the adventure I had originally planned for 6-9's and I'm just starting another one. I'm sorry, but I wasted a lot of time trying to massage a bad adventure idea into something playable and I should have just given up early. So I've got a new idea, one that I'm considerably happier with, and I just wanted to throw one idea out there:

I'm considering running it as a fixed-level adventure. All the time and encounter based awards will be up-scaled to 'what would have been' had we done continuous experience. In fact, I'm pretty sure I can model the experience and treasure with 100% reliability. Anyone game for this? This would be the Cheesemakers crowd (Pirvinia, Samad, et al), plus potentially Jonas (Mowgli). Let me know--otherwise I can run it on the continuous scale.

I don't have a problem with running it as a fixed-level adventure.
I would prefer to run Cruendithas(6th lvl archaeologist) in place of Tsaaruk(8th lvl barbarian) - not sure how that affects the makeup of the group. Tsaaruk is certainly worth more damage in a fight.

OK, the plan was, as of Sept 1:

Levels 6-8. DM: Aura. Judge: ???
Pirvinia (L8, currently in Cheesemakers) perrinmiller
Iago (L7, currently in Cheesemakers) mfloyd3
Tsaaruck (L7, currently in Cheesemakers) BigB
Samad (L8, currently in Cheesemakers) CommanderFallout
Jonas (L6, currently in Rats3) Mowgli
Thuvian? (L?, currently uninvolved) by Sunshadow21

Levels 3-5. DM: Sunshadow21. Judge: ???
Dunkel (L4, currently in Rats3) Deuce Traveler
Cruendithas (L5, currently in Rats3) BigB
Wahyu (L5, currently in Rats3) CommanderFallout
Qalabash (L3, currently in Sea Sprite) Glass Eye
Francis John (L3, currently in Sea Sprite) FrancisJohn
Leira (L3, currently in Sea Sprite) Anastrace
[Tamarie (L3, currently in Sea Sprite) Aura *only in event a spot is open*]

Obviously we're gonna need some fine tuning now that things are settled out and we know what we're dealing with. Francis John is in Don't Let it Go and the levels are, in general, a tad higher. If anyone has any preferences now is the time as I real quick has together a replacement adventure (the original wasn't working out).

BigB, the story should be that both Tsaaruck and Cruendithas have adventures--it's just a matter of fitting them with level-appropriate groups.

More tomorrow. Tonight was not a good night for me getting LPF stuff done.

The Haven, an adventure for levels 6-9, is almost done. I've had more progress on it this weekend than I had on the abandoned adventure I was dithering on for 3 or 4 weeks. Anyway, the intended audience:

Pirvinia (N Human Sorcerer-9)
Iago (CG HalfOrc Alchemist-8)
Tssaruk (CG HalfOrc Barbarian-8)
Samad (CG Elf Bard/DervishDancer-8)
Jonas (NG HalfOrc Inquisitor-6)
Thuvian (N Tiefling Wizard-7)

Let me know if this is accurate. Also, Jonas/Mowgli can bump to 7 with DMC if he wants to with no change to the essential balance of the encounters.

Three or four half-orcs and a tiefling walking around with a human and an elf. Only the human is female. I can just hear the old people in rural regions whispering about the company that woman keeps.

Yikes! I was actually putting the finishing touches on leveling Jonas to 8. I can dial him back down to seven or leave him at eight - totally your call, Aura, and I'll happily play him either way.

The Haven, an adventure for levels 7-9 (average level = 8, APL 9 counting party size), is now ready for review and ensuing fun. Seeking a non-perrinmiller/Mowgli judge. :P

It is shared to the judge account, but the scan of the map will not be until a bit later.

Pirvinia (N Human Sorcerer-9)
Iago (CG HalfOrc Alchemist-8)
Tssaruk (CG HalfOrc Barbarian-8)
Samad (CG Elf Bard/DervishDancer-8)
Jonas (NG HalfOrc Inquisitor-8)
Thuvian (N Tiefling Wizard-7)
