Upcoming Adventure Review

Aura, I don't see a problem with the idea you propose. What sort of information were you looking for? Also, how long do you think it would take you to get ready and what levels would you be interested in DMing for? I spent part of the afternoon working up a brief scenario for the 1st levels but if you can be ready soon and are more interested in that level range I could make changes so that it works with the 3rd levels.

GlassEye,
The sort of information I'd be interested in is any behind the scenes things from ROUS that would effect a larger plot, such as whether thought had been put into why there were rats there. I don't want to make mistakes such as working against the original idea.
Oh, and trying to make the adventure seem authentic is a must, so I want to make sure I don't miss any information on Venza itself
As far as 'how soon' goes, I'm at the very lead end of the process. I have to learn how to make the ditzie maps, write according to the submission guidelines, come up with the arc plot, and break out a couple adventure ideas. I honestly don't know, but I do have part of the weekend to kick start the project with. I can envision the first of the series (2nd if you count ROUS) as either 1st or 3rd, although my assumption was 1st level.

Ah, ok. Behind the scenes ROUS info you might need to PM Scott DeWar to get although if he is finished with the scenario then any behind the scenes info that didn't come out it play is open for you to change. I think I can help you with Venza information. If there are specific setting elements you are looking for you can PM me and I might have suggestions. Or I can make suggestions after you write it up and submit it for review. And I can try to help you with anything else you might need if you want.

Since you were thinking 1st level I'll go ahead and start beefing up the encounters for my scenario to make it appropriate for the 3rd levels.

I'm just coming to the point where I'm starting to consider GMing a run or two because I am (a) starting to get a feel for the game environment and (b) coming into some more free time to put into it.

This said, my PF GM experience ranges only up to about 8th level, so I'm thinking more in terms of low level play. I have some interest in making the rat problem seen in Rodents of Unusual Size part of a larger problem... sort of a limited 'world event' for low level folks.

I see lots of general resources available to tap into, but I'll need to know if this sounds like a good idea (I don't want to overstep/infringe) and, if so, if there is any information I would need to know to make it consistent with previous events/ideas.

I would be honored to see a 'squeal' to ROUS! And I think I saw Parrinmiller ask about a low level game.

I had made that adventure as a stand alone thing. Go with your imagination.

Thanks, Scott and GE. I've started some design work, will do more tomorrow, for levels 1-2. I'm thinking somewhere in the range of 2-3 total parts, with the last part about levels 3-4... but I shouldn't get too much ahead of myself.

Instead of upgrading the encounters in the 1st level scenario I came up with I've decided to play around with a different concept which, unfortunately, will take me a bit longer to prepare. The question is: Are there any characters 3rd level or so looking for an adventure? I see Pirvinia and Samad in the DWI but none of the other 3rd level characters.

I have Tsaaruck. 2nd level but very close to 3rd level.
