Upcoming movies for 2004

Well, as for myself:

Troy
Hell boy
Alexander
The Life Aquatic
Anchorman
The Incredibles

I'll probably see Spiderman, Van Helsing, Alien vs Preditor, and Kill Bill 2 when they come out on DVD.

The Chronicles of Riddick. Loved Pitch Black, this one looks good, too. Spider-Man 2 should be good, and the Harry Potter's have always been entertaining. And Troy.

Its about time someone mentioned the Chronicles of Ridick in this thread. Its supposed to be to first of a trilogy, and so far everything I've seen looks incredible.

I wasn't even aware of Sky Captain until now, but its immediately on my must watch list. High budget retro-scifi? Count me in!

Troy rounds out my trifecta of movies that I must watch. I've always thought the Iliad would make a good movie, and we'll see if I'm right.

The Passion (Mel Gibson)

Well, it may be well-done, and the Pope himself may have even liked it, but that doesn't even rank on the list of movies I'd be interested in watching, even if the world came to an end and I survived, but there was miraculously one theater two blocks away that still showed this movie.

to be honest has John Williams ever done the music for a not so classic movie?

Do you consider Home Alone 1 & 2 or Stepmom classics? He's credited with those ..

Sky Captain
I-Robot
The Butterfly Effect
Kill Bill 2
Hidalgo
Dawn of the Dead
The Ladykillers (OK, that sounds pretty funny)
Hellboy
The Brothers Grimm (Provided they decide when to release it)
Ella Enchanted (want to see a trailer, to see how they are doing Fairie, first)
The Punisher
Hero, if we ever get it here.
Without a Paddle (Might be good, might be really stupid, but is has Seth Green)
Godsend (I cannot imagine this will not be stupid, though. Not great hopes for it)
Van Helsing
Troy
Shrek 2
The Day After Tomorrow
Harry Potter 3
The Chronicles of Riddick
Stepford Wives (Depends on what I hear; I cannot imagine them going with the original ending, so...)
Kaena: The Prophecy (I hope we get this one at the art house)
Spider-Man 2
King Arthur
The Village (M. Night Shyamalan AKA The Woods)
Thunderbirds
Blade: trinity
A Sound of Thunder
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Alexander
The Incredibles
The Polar Express (I was going 'Jeez, that's CGI?')
The Ring 2

Still waiting for Shaolin Soccer, dammit.

There is; there are some more that might or might not come here (we only have one small poor art house), but larger venues might get them. There are some comedies in there, and some action; depends on what the last half of the year looks like, since Upcoming Movies really is accurate only for about the first quarter as films get moved and shoved around, jockeying for position. Some others, like The Alamo, look good, and I might see those.

"After the Sunset" Looks like it might be pretty good. Pierce Brosnan once again in the role of a master thief. Woody Harrelson plans the FBI agent who is his nemesis. The supporting cast includes Salma Hayek and Don Cheadle. Directed by Brett Ratner (the two "Rush Hour" films).
