Hi, folks,
What is the most up-to-date rules, publication, or home-made method for calculating a creature's ECL?
I have one that I found awhile back, which looks pretty well-planned, complete with an index of most of the monsters with their ECLs, but I'm not sure if there is another method people are using or have developed.
I tested that system with the Examiner (beholderkin) and initially clocked it at ECL 6, but one of the rules specified that its minimum ECL should be its HD (which is 8).

P.S. The one I found is at http://csserver.evansville.edu/~jc84/DD3/, and it was written by Soldarin.
