This was one of my first modules I think I ever purchased and played.

I liked it but it always felt like it was missing something.

It's not really notorious but I was wondering how can you update this module for the modern era and what can you use to give it its own identity?

One of the rare times I was a player instead of a DM, I was run through this updated to the 3.5 edition. Obviously this was long ago (though not as long ago as when it was first published).

I don't know how faithfully the DM converted it, but my experience as a player was that there were a lot of tedious, empty rooms. We did room-by-room sweeps looking for broken mirror pieces, rarely finding anything of interest or note.

So I would tighten up the experience.
