I wouldn't say you've lost yet, if DrZombie still wants in that'll only leave one space to fill. :)
Does a bear crap in the woods? As I see it, you've got two dedicated players, we just need one more, or we can start allready, without waiting for backup.

Festy, you wanna go for "good cop, bad cop"? I'll be the bad one :p, since you play the half-orc at "a game of trust". Unless you really really really wanna play the bad cop, then we'll bay bad cop and bad cop :D.

So, I'm ready to go.

LOL, interesting idea. I think I've got a good cop lined up for this one. If there'll be three of us we could potentially have the good, the bad and the ugly. ;)

Skeksis, is the .45 auto you're referring to the Colt 1911 out of the core book? Or could we take something like a USP45? Just curious as I'm preferential to HK stuff. :)

Well well, I must say you chaps have the right attitude. This just may fly after all. ;) Why don't we just go with the two of you--after all, it nicely fits the "partners" trope of the horror/conspiracy genre. Festy, I hadn't thought of a specific .45--I just mentioned it as a common gun of choice in the X-Files type films. ;) If you have a specific make/model, just give me the stats and I'll let you know.

Why don't you boys start working on characters, then? We'll close the game to further comers and see what the two of you come up with.

Human characters, standard point buy, 1st level, any basic class...any questions? If not, post what you got and we'll bounce around ideas.

Sweeeeeet!

Hey festy, if it's the two of us we might as well work together on a background, and on a character. Starsky and Hutch, Fox and Mulder, Dempsey and Makepeace... Bugger, that's two chicks? Aaaw. :D

Oooh, nasty flash Pinky and the Brain, Narf Narf.

Anyway, who's gonna be the firepower? Or one social one investigator? One stealthy and one wise?

Got any character ideas for yourself, so I can steal some ideas:p?

If not, I'm going for Jean-Jaques Lafayette, a huge afro-american from New-Orleans, transferred from the FBI. 1st Lvl Tough or Strong, gotta check out the books when I'm back at home (bugger this I hate working at the weekends)
Guess that leaves u with the chick ;).

Have fun, catch ya later.

Well I had a dedicated hero in mind (with the investigative occupation if thats alright) who would multiclass in charismatic given the chance.

There aren't any official stats for the USP45 that I know of (the core book doesn't have stats for any HK pistols, though it makes a big fuss over their bigger weapons: MP5, G3, etc.).

What I thought a USP45 would have:
2d6 damage, 40' increment, 12 round clip, crit 20, size small

(i wouldn't give it the mastercrafting that most HK weapons in the core book seem to have as i believe that'd be reserved for the USP45's big brother, the SOCOM)

The USP45 stats are fine. Your character concepts (what little I've seen thus far) are great for a start...I'm looking forward to this. Keep me updated as you guys build the characters. As soon as you have detailed character stats (abilities, skills, feats, talents, blah blah) you can post 'em here and I'll look over them. Remember that any skills or feats to do with reputation, wealth, or driving/piloting are IXNAY (did I say that right?).

As far as starting equipment goes, I'll let you know what S5 issued you. It ain't much--but the USP45 will be there. ;)

Edit : oh bugger, i just reread the posts and saw that you took standard point buy instead of standard starting scores. I dunno if they are different(dont have books here now) could you let me know if i need to adjust?

Background:
Jean-Jacques grew up in new-orleans. He was raised by his grandmother as his mother died at birth and his father was unknown. His grandmother was a friendly but hard woman, unafraid to give her grandson a good dressing down in french whenever he got into trouble. She managed to keep him out of the worst gangs and he ended up being a police officer. When asked to help the FBI in the investigation of some gang-related killings that spilled across state lines they were impressed with his knowledge of voodoo-rituals used by both the jamaican and haitian gangs in the ritual sacrificial killings. He was enlisted and trained by the FBI, and then transferred to S5, to be forgotten and/or laughed at.
He grew up surrounded bby voodoo-trappings, but knows better then to
believe in all that mumbo-jumbo.

Description:
Jean-Jacques is a tall, skinny afro-american, black as the night. He wears his dreadlocks short-cropped.
When on duty he wears the classic black suit of the bureau with the black raincoat.
Off duty he dresses in street-clothes, grunge-style. He lives in a small beach-house (if californian/miami/florida setting) or in a suburb house with a small garden (other setting). He is immensely proud of his souped-up Ford Mustang, cherishing it as if it was a favorite girlfriend.
He is easy to get along with, in the summer regularely inviting naeighbours, colleagues and friends over for a barbeque on the beach/in the garden. He is into heavy dub music, checking out the nightclubs in the weekend. His grandmother, his only relative, passed away two weeks ago. He doesn't have a steady girlfriend, but is quite the ladies man, telling outrageous stories of his latest conquest on the quiet moments during stakeouts. His latest conquest is Mi Lei, an asian woman whom he met in a nightclub this weekend and he's hoping to take her out again on a romantic dinner date this friday.

Lemme know whenever we start.
