Urban druids?

If it's not included in the variants, I would definitely house rule the 3.0 animal companions back in for an urban ranger. A collection of pigeons, rats and cats that scout the city make a lot more sense for an urban druid than a big attention drawing meatshield.

I agree, although I'm using the PHB2 shapeshift variant that removes wild shape and the animal companion. The concept of a rat swarm is a great image, though.

Legildur, I'm honestly not sure how high a level they'll get to. I've committed to 8-10 sessions, and we may go longer if everyone is having fun. That means level 3-5 or so.

I played a high-level urban druid in a PbP game, and we ruled a cat swarm to be a 4th level companion.

I named all three hundred cats :D

Aristocats... did you give them different characteristics as well ;)?

I don't have Cityscape but I do have Races of Destiny which has this:

Roofwalker (RoD p156)

PRQ: Balance+Jump 5 ranks, Dodge, Mobility

Benefit: 3 tactical manuevers:

Fleet of Foot: Move at full speed on precarious surface w/out -5 on balance check.
Graceful Drop: If you intentionally drop from a height, negate 20 feet of damage
Master of Roof: When on a slope, gain +1 dodge against any opponent at different elevation.
