Urn Your Pay (Rae judging)

Ter-raen considers: Drink? Or spiders? The decision is made. "Erf, why not drink a bit before we go? Spiders will wait for us." He bares a grin at his gnome companion.

"Spiders? Whit spiders?" Gildrim asks exasperatedly.

"Och, aye, th' spiders. Ye shoud gae wi' th' wee gnome, than, big fellae. Ye widnae want him tae be etten by a spider aw oan his ain."

Ter-raen considers the dwarf's words, and figures that he's telling him to go and watch over the gnome, in case of spiders. Mental calculations run again, and they do add up. "Mmm, also good idea. Ter-raen go." Getting off the seat, he moves to join Erf and gives a parting word to Gildrim, "Save some drink for us."

Erf and Ter-raen wander back into the house. Gildrim, guarded by Fenenn, stays in the garden.

[sblock=Erf, Ter-raen]The house seems ominously quiet as you walk back through it. Each creaking floorboard or moaning door hinge puts you on edge, but for all that, the trip is uneventful. It takes only a few minutes to work your way back around to the front door and down the hill to Apikotoa's campsite. Apikotoa glances up, then looks at the sun with an unblinking stare.

"Back so soon? Where ees the dwarf?"

[sblock=Gildrim]"Well, we're alone now. Come, tell me about Sister Anemone while we pick some fruit. Did she send you here to find this shrine? How is the goddess worshipped in your lands?" Kshatrya seems genuinely interested in hearing more. She walks a short way towards the nearest trees, clearly inviting you to follow. [/sblock]

"Alright Apikotoa!" Erf calls cheerfully, "we met a Nixie! She's so pretty my eyes nearly exploded! Mind ye I think she might 'ave me charmed, but s'alright cause shes been dead nice and everythin' even sent us out 'ere to invite ye in fer a drink 'n such..." Erf pauses for breath and looks thoughtful,

"Oh and Gildrim wanted te send ye a secret message in draconic, it was, er, "'yth levex - tundar tuor wux', 'yth levex - tundar tuor wux'." So de ye want te come fer a drink? She's really friendly and she looks after a shrine te Galatea and she's a fey so ye know she loves nature 'n shes pious 'n such. N' ye should see what she's wearin', me Mum'd tan me hide fer some of the thoughts I'm 'avin'."

Erf grins as he pulls at the birds nest that is his hair in what appears to be a vain effort to smarten himself up.

"'N de ye know what the best part is Apikotoa? She's green!"

[sblock=OOC] I made an intelligence check to see how well Erf would remember the phrase - hope thats okay with you Covaithe. Since Invisible Castle keeps showing me a 500 internal server error I rolled on another site, getting an 18, and the roll can be found at the following link... http://www.dndonlinegames.com/showthread.php?p=2848884#post2848884 [/sblock]

Ter-raen scratches his head for a moment at the gnome's super long speech. He looks at Apikotoa, and gives a shrug. "Ter-raen make sure spiders don't eat him," nodding at Erf.

ooc: I don't really care if the split party talks in sblocks or not. Just, y'know, keep an eye on player knowledge vs. character knowledge and all. The int check is fine, Halford.

Apikotoa blinks slowly in his slightly alien way. "Yesterday you said you deed not weesh to reesk my neck. Now you want me to come dreenk weeth a... Neexie? Who has enchanted you? Thees... I do not like. Our agreement was to guide you back, not to help weeth your quest. I am not crazy adventurer, just hunter. Why should I do thees?" The ruff on the back of his head rises in what must be a lizardfolk facial expression, but its meaning is not immediately clear.

"Well I just thought ye might like a bitte a drink and company, I don't think she'd steer us wrong Apikotoa!"

The moon eyed gnome says - a little flustered.

"Plus ye really should see her! If yer answers no then yer answers no, just thought we'd make the offer. Oh and we found some neat old cards, and some darts, and we fought off a vicious mob of centipedes big as me arm! Proper adventurin', interestin' stuff beautiful Priestesses - who are small and green! It's great!"

Erf shrugs,

"Well if yer not interested Apikotoa I guess we'll leave ye to it, see ye later, take care!"

[sblock=Gildrim, Kshatrya]"There is a more pressing matter, nixie," says Gildrim, following her closely, with a hand near his sword hilt. "You ensorcelled my companions. As you say, we are for the moment alone. Choose your next words with the greatest care."[/sblock]

[sblock=Defend not Guard] Just realized that I gave the wrong trick name previously! I meant defend not guard having just read the tricks list again, it should be evident why I made the mistake, defend is for a person guard is for a spot. I have edited accordingly.

Defend (DC 20): The animal defends you (or is ready to defend you if no threat is present), even without any command being given. Alternatively, you can command the animal to defend a specific other character. [/sblock]

Fenenn trots along at gildrim's side looking anxious as he senses the dwarf's mood.
