Urn Your Pay (Rae judging)

OOC: Can you tell me its not necromancy? That would go a ways to making Erf happier :D. Also if it has only one school Erf will be more likely to consider it a "simple" magic weapon.

"Magic, eh?" says Gildrim. "Whit kind ay fowk woud set awa aff withoot a magic swuird, than? But ane way tae find oot, seein' as we dinnae hae a thief wi' us."

If it's in reach, he takes hold of the sword.

The brief tingle that Gildrim feels as he touches the sword is so slight that it could be only his imagination. Or it could be the remnants of once-powerful protective magic, faded to nothing by time and neglect. At any rate, there is no apparent effect, and with some tugging, the sword comes away in Gildrim's hand.

"Thaur wis a wee dingle in my haund whan Ah first teuk hauld, but it's gane th' nou. Is it still glowin' tae yer eyes, Erf?" Gildrim asks.

"Ah'll tak a few swings wi' it, an' see if it's onything speicial. Ah miss aften enow Ah'll suin notice if it's helpin' ony!"

Looking more closely, Erf can clearly see that the magic aura is evocation, not universal as he had originally thought.

"Yep, still magic! Faint evocation, which I think all magic weapons are so that doesn't tell us too much - but still magic sword! Well who is going to take it? Obviously one of you big'uns, but which?"

Erf leaves this decision in the others hands and heads over to open the door (H23). Putting his ear to it he listens intently for a moment before opening it and peering in...

"Th' ane wha needs th' halp tae hit!" Gildrim answers. "That widnae be th' strappin' fellae haur. Ah wis lucky wi' th' snake afore. Mebbe Grendath teuk a hand, acause Ah can haurdly mynd takkin' th' swing."
