Right. A lame duck that's casting Flame Strikes.

Or Storm of Vengeance. Go check out the Tales of Wyre story hour to see how Nwm (at the time he was not an epic level character) wiped out an entire army.

By himself.

so then if the combo is do-able, what sort of progression would be the best IYO?

maybe some help with feats too?

Your best leadins would be Monk 1/Druid X, or Monk 4/Druid 4/Sacred fist. What do you want to do? Kun fu bear? Flaming octopus? Spellcasting and high kicking?

I would go monk 4/druid 4/sacred fist, which a) preserves your BAB, b) sidesteps the question of how to get wildshape to work with unarmed strike, and c) allows you to finish out SF with two levels to spare, pre-epic.
The sacred fist's Code of Conduct prohibits any multiclassing after entering it. The DM/group would have to ignore that bit (mine did), epic or not.

Angerland,
Do you have access to any issues of Dragon? Specifically, #314? It has an article of four 10-level, air/wind-based monk PrCs, one of which is for druid/monks (Master of the North Wind). It advances the standard monk abilities (unarmed damage & speed, & AC) at full-, & wildshape at half- class levels, plus eventually allows gaseous form as a wildshape option & grants the Air domain. Standard entrance looks to be a druid 5/monk 4.

Monk and Druid synergize remarkably well: The AC boost is nice, as is the movement boost. Unarmed strikes can be used in Wild Shape, which gives you a decent combat option when you are in a non-combat form. Evasion and the Monk bonus feats at levels 1-2 are very nice.

Stunning Fist is usually a no-brainer for the Monk level one bonus feat, but you might want to consider Improved Grapple - since you'll be able to turn into bears and such (with improved grab). Grappling Druid builds can be impressive. Grappling Druid builds with Monk levels?
