Vagrant Hanger-On: What the heck?

So I got a PM from Dice4hire today saying he got me some "gift" or another. It informed me it was a "Vagrant Hanger-On". I am of course completely lost by this point, especially because I was unable to PM him to ask what on earth it was about. Then I discovered I have some little dood under my location or just above my XP bar (depending on POV). What the heck is this and is he going to start stealing my stuff? He looks like he's eying up my accumulated XP suspiciously.

Edit: I must say that I do quite appreciate it. The little fellow brightens up that otherwise unremarkable piece of real estate above the XP bar I must say.

if you look under do stuff on the top bar then go to the bottom and find market. click on market. when that shows up, the left side will have a gift shop go there and you will find stuff to 'buy' with gold. look in your profile for how much gold you have. there are some things that are free. The 'vagrent hanger-on is one of them. (I gave him this vagrent, i think)

All right, I just got this:

What exactly does it mean? And is it supposed to be some sort of insult that is telling me you guys don't want me to be on this forum any more?

It WAS in the RPG Market as a free item, I guess people got annoyed with getting them and now the cost is 1gp.

I think it is just for fun.

Although, like I said, it now costs 1gp, so now people can not inundate each other with them for free.
