No, it doesn't. The quoted section says: "Driving a wooden stake through a vampire’s heart instantly slays the monster. However, it returns to life if the stake is removed, unless the body is destroyed."

Driving a stake through a vampire's heart does not destroy the body. It slays it, but that is undone if the stake itself is removed. The only way to ensure permanent destruction (sunlight and running water notwithstanding) is to "destroy" the body, which decapitation and holy-wafer-stuffing take care of. That counts as destroying the body.
