Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines

Waylander

The Slayer
Having played a whole range of FPS, CFRPG, strategy games, etc. on the PC this is the first game that genuinely has that emersive feeling akin to roleplaying.

While no replacement for the real thing VtM: Bloodlines is a triumph (if slightly flawed by some irritating bugs).

I've never played the normal Vampire RPG - does anyone have any experience?

I've played Vampire, but not Bloodlines.

I'm actually itching to start up a new World of Darkness game as soon as Werewolf hits the shelves (mixed with Vampire).

I felt the same way as Waylander.

I played this game and I loved it! The first couple of missions are a bit linear, but that isn't a bad way to learn the game and its controls. Further, there are no time constraints, so you can still wonder around and do what you would like to do.

This is a VERY good game!

Have a good one! Take care!

After finishing it once, I used the sneaky (i.e. cheat) method to make a Tremere with five dots in Thaumaturgy to get the "turn a human into a grenade" power.

The new paint job I made inside the diner is...exquisite. :P

Very cool game, and holds up to replay.

Agreed; this game is da bomb, as the kids are wont to say. I've only played it all the way through once, though I imagine I'll go back and do it again sometime. Played through as a Toreador; you wouldn't think it, but these guys are really good at melee combat. Celerity + Presence + a high Melee skill = dead opponents, fast.
