Vampires and werewolves!

WoD or not, it's not my problem. That's up to the White Wolf's lawyer to decide if there is an infringement under the intellectual property law.

Of course, I would be sorely disappointed if the movie will not be shown in theater this year if White Wolf managed to prove an infringement and the court would grant White Wolf's motion to impose an injunction.

If that were to happen, I would hope White Wolf would see it as a revue generating event, take some of its profits and maybe see an upsurge in book sales. It never happens that way, but one could hope. I still don't belive this has anything to with the World of Darkness, however.

Of course, its no less plausible than Viacon/MTV suit a few years back that resulted in Aeon becoming Trinity.

Feh. If I were a White Wolf "suit," ( ) I just let it go and promote my products when the movie is out to get the moviegoers who wants something that comes close to the movie setting to roleplay in.

Or just go to the production company and get a license to do a one-book product based on the movie.
