Vancian Magic in Chrono Cross

Well, I think it worked pretty okay then, and it's not exactly a very outdated game. It also worked for FF 1-3 I think.

Why the hate for Vancian magic?

Doesn't mesh with popular conceptions on how magic "really" works.

I love it, though, and wouldn't have it any other way (except maybe even more Vancian, with really extravagant names).
