Vanor beats Shard

Vanor sighs seeing the tide of this battle turning away from his favor. He summons up his chi and strikes out hard in his favored style

Seeing the fearsome but beautiful Dragon style that Vanor employs, Shard is nearly mesmerized but shields herself from despairing at the thought of the deadly blow coming her way. Steeling herself and leaping high, she flies to meet Vanor with a mighty Phoenix style attack that could break down the very gates of hell itself.

The phoenix assails the hells; shields the beauty of the scythe!

Shard gets blasted by Vanor's dragon move.

2 points Vanor
2 flags Vanor; 2 flags Shard

(apologies for the vanishing act...I also had things to do during lunch)

ooc: No prob Darkwolf :) Kinda funny though I edited the title to let you know the round was ready to judge, and by the time I finished and reloaded the page, you already did :).

  • [*]The snake viciously mangles the desert; dodges the foray of the chi!
[*]The claw demolishes the foothills; waves away the onslaught of the lily!
[*]The monkey dodges above the garden; reduces the blood of the lightbeam!
[*]*used The tiger fluidly tramples the pond; defends against the beauty of the chi!
[*]*used The panther vigorously shreds the heavens as it destroys the spirit; redirects the violence of the amphibian!

edit ooc: I'll wait to post my move til after Shard posts her next hand, and to make sure she doesn't want to use bribe judges.

Shard’s 2nd hand:
  • USED-The claw destroys the gate; shreds the stab of the soul!
[*]The rose petal shatters the pillars; negates the aggression of the dark sunbeam! *yen*
[*]The sword fluidly penetrates the spring; shields the descent of the steel!
    [*]
USED-The thunder calmly mangles the river; dominates the motion of the soul!
[*]The rose petal annihilates the spring; averts the speed of the invisible blade!

Go ahead with your move Vanor.

Vanor once more swiches over to the style of the day and attacks hard and fast

The panther vigorously shreds the heavens as it destroys the spirit; redirects the violence of the amphibian!

As Vanor stabs at her to make his attack on her spirit, Shard uses her own claws to shred his hands and arms. Still using her Claw style, Shard then attacks Vanor with several highly destructive blows.

The claw destroys the gate; shreds the stab of the soul!

OOC: Ouch! Some tough hands here for the both of us! This should be interesting...

ooc: Heh yeah, I was rather surprised when I saw what I got. At least this won't go like my fight with Wicht/Sidhe... His 2nd hand just stunk, I almost felt bad in winning.

Vanor focus for a moment then lets lose a mighty shout, he leaps into the air and kicks out with both feat, attempting to land on Shard.

Chi Strike!

The tiger fluidly tramples the pond; defends against the beauty of the chi!

ooc: Chi strike seems sorta pointless in this fight, so I might as well use it now, and not have to go first every time :)

edit: Heh I got so use to not having the sig show up, I keep forgetting to take the check mark out.

“You trample upon the pond? That’s it? Ha! With my Thunder style, I can mangle the whole river without even getting angry! You are all but beaten while I am dominant yet again, and I feel my soul moving upward towards the reward I shall claim when I defeat you and your honor once more!”

The thunder calmly mangles the river; dominates the motion of the soul!

OOC: Nothing is pointless in this fight, I think. So I go first next turn and then we continue alternating, right? And I know how you feel too. In one of Kith's battles, her opponent drew 3 of her four different Sig Styles in his hand of five! He thought he was doomed for sure but he came back strong and made one heck of a fight out of it.
