So Demonomicon has swap-out traits for Variable Resistance? Cool. Are any of them especially interesting?

Lots of good stuff. Like
Vicious Assault, minor 1/enc, your next attack is against the target's lowest defense.
Spell Eater, minor r6, atk vs will to eat a zone and regain a power

The minions are probably just a result of sloppy cut & paste, IMO. MM1 is really bad that way.
