Check out this thread on the Dragonlance boards for tributes from Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis, as well as various Dragonlance game designers (Jamie Chambers, Cam Banks, Clark Valentine, Sean Macdonald, and yours truly). Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Also, a huge kudos to the gaming community for all their warm thoughts and tributes. It's cool that we can all come together like this.

It isn't much, and its more directed at a group of teens who have only a vague idea of who Gary was, but its a tribute nonetheless.

I feel bad posting about tributes on our homepage and forums, since it feels a bit like I'm doing poor "me too" self-promotion using a great man's death, but I want to mention something coming up, to head off any confusion.

Knights of the Dinner Table #137 was written LAST month and includes a few strips on [fictional game company] Hard Eight Enterprises thinking back on [fictional game designer] Gary Jackson's death eight years ago (which as it happens took place in "March").

With Gary Gygax dying (also in March) some people may assume we wrote the #137 strips AFTER Gary's death in order to somehow cash in or exploit this sad news.

Just an unfortunate coincidence. We had planned the strips for quite some time and of course they had nothing to do with real life or Gary Gygax in particular. Hopefully people will take a look at the date Jolly signed the edtiorial (February 10th or so) and realize the issue was written before Gary's death.

Just wanted to make that clear BEFORE KODT #137 hits the stands.
