I understand what you mean, but i'd rather just put it on the feat list instead of making a whole new mechanic. The overall difference isnt so extreme as to be a big deal

It just seems cool for a character to get a bit farther along in feats than they otherwise could, but at a cost. Does anyone see any big blatant balance issues that I am missing? Havent had a problem with the revised toughness feat, those who take it still take it for the same reasons but dont feel like they wasted a feat later on. Personally I feel that it is still pretty weak even at +1hp/hd, but at least it has good flavor instead of just the +3 which is worthless after 3rd level for most characters.
