Viagra and Cialis can cause blindness

I remember very, very early on after the release of Viagra, an older gentleman was involved in a car accident. At the time he blamed it on Viagra and seeing, "blue lightning" around the edges of his vision.

It was laughed off at the time because it didn't seem to have any correlation to the drug, but I do recall this was one of the first reported cases of any adverse side effects.

No, no. I don't think it's funny at all.

Sad, perhaps. Almost tragic that the poor disfunctional bastards got hit with permanent freaking blindness just because they couldn't get it up. But not funny.

If you read the article they don't know if it is the drugs causing it or the condition that leads to taking the drug. One of the cause of ED can also lead to blindess.

I thought that exercise was supposed to help both ED and a lot of the other conditions that can cause it. Got to say it looks like the old mantra of eat properly, exercise regularly and get enough rest still holds better than trying to fix things with drugs, whether its viagra or cialis or olestra (different drug and problem, but still a bad fix for a problem)
