Vicious Ferocity and Augmentation

I was browsing the PHB3 the other day and I had a thought: Can you use an augmentable at-will attack with Vicious Ferocity (use an at-will instead of melee basic) and augment it, essentially giving you an encounter power in place of a basic attack?

The short answer is no.

At-Will Attack Powers: When a power or some other effect lets you use an at-will attack power, you can choose to use one of your augmentable at-will attack powers. but you must use it unaugmented.
