23 here, and I'd definately vote for Mario and Link over Crono or Sephiroth.

We're trying to get mature characters to win this thing over the one-dimensional undeveloped kiddy characters.

I'm with mojo, what do you mean by mature?

That 'game' is no RPG, it's a slightly interactive wanna be movie.

p.s. I'm older than you and I'd take Link and Mario over every Square any day of the week, and I don't even like the Mario Bros. games.

On the contrary, I think you'll find more older gamers voting for Mario, Link, and their Nintendo brethren than younger ones. These are people that grew up with said franchises and/or simply appreciate a fun, well crafted videogame.

Nintendo simply isn't mainstream 'cool' like Sony's PlayStation brand (and possibly never was). Thus, a lot of kids are too insecure to admit to playing or liking something that isn't as popular and 'risque' as GTA, DOA, or one of the myriad shooters on the market.

A) This is a game, nothing to get riled up over. Get this riled up over politics, or love, but not a game.

I would point out (thanks to a class SIX years ago making me anal-retentive) that they set up the bracket all wrong, not even basing it on the last years' results.
