D&D 5E Volo & the Chained Tarrasque?

Legend
I just noticed this little bit of lore hidden in the sidebar about the giant god Skoraeus:

"Skoraeus tapped with his hammer on the stone under the sea, so that Stronmaus could find the chain-tunnels that allowed him to pull the tarrasque down to the bed of the ocean whereat last it would drown."

Is this new? I've never heard this bit of lore about the Tarrasque and the giant gods? Fairly interesting I thought.

New to me too. Apparently drowning is only temporary to the Big T. Makes me think the big guy is like the Shaggy Man in DC comics, an artificial lifeform that evolves so it can't be beat the same way twice. So maybe the floating wizard spamming acid attacks would kill the Tarrasque, and then the next day it would show up again, but with immunity to acid damage.....

It also made the Tarrasque seem a bit stronger than I normally think of it - need a god to pull it down.
