I can't chose!!! I would have to say that my favorites are the four basic classes: Wizard, Rogue, Fighter, Cleric. That is close to the order, but the first three are so close that I couldn't really say for sure.

The Ranger.

Kicks ass with a warrior's BAB, has the most important skills (Spot, Listen, Hide, Move Silently) as class skills, 4+ skills per level, spells, and favored enemies which eventually allow for the coolest epic feats in the game (Bane of Enemies, Death of Enemies).

Since a lot of people complain about them you also get the added benefit of being among the elite few that play the coolest class in the game.

Druids

I had a blast playing a druid and while I had a lot of limitations to work around, I also had a lot of special abilities and spells that came to play just when I thought I was out of luck.

The shapechange and the spells made me the workhorse of our party. I always had something to do in every situation.

My group is already braced for more druids from me. The running joke was that my GM couldn't kill off my character, I'd just bring back another druid, so what's the point. :D

Wizard! Wizards have a certain flavor about them that I just find very appealing. The magic system in 3e makes more sense for wizards than it does for any other spellcasting class. I like the fact that you have to plan ahead to play a successful wizard. I like that they are problem solvers, and even if they don't have a solution on the spot, given enough time they can research one.

rogues all the way!

Wizard. They rule at high levels. Its downhill for the other classes the second a Wizard learns fireball. How long does Mr. Rogue last without Improved Invisibility? I thought so...

Very, with evasion and cloak o resistance + high reflex + halfling bonus (if you are one) + high dexterity (I hope), this shouldn't be too much of a problem, especially when there can only be about 7 max!

They have use magic device for the times when magic is needed, and ring o chameleon power lets you overcome the problem of people who can see invisiblility:D

And quicker than the eye just rules for killing things.

The only things I find that can kill these guys pretty easily is creatures immune to sneak attack, and ones that have lots of (will/fortitue) save or die spells.

Druid all the way. Very versitile spell list from healing to utility to blasting. Wildshape and other granted abilities are just icing on the cake.

Druid. Spells are good, wildshape is cool, so is thousand places, and if your hurt, your animal companions will help out!!

Wizards.

So they may be puny, but wizards are unique amongst the classes. They can certainly dish out the damage, and the high level save-or-die type spells (and Will-save based spells at that) eclipse the martial characters. They don't just stop at artillerists (unlike their brutish sorcerous cousins) but have the whole host of utility spells. Need an item identified? Wizard. Need to get somewhere fast? Wizard. Rogue can't pick the lock? Wizard. The high-level defenses make them nigh immortal (Clone, Hide Life, Contingency, Chain Contingency etc.) and the high-level offense is just disturbing (fancy being on the receiving end of Time Stop followed by five Meteor Swarms?)

Nothing else comes close to their unique combination of versatility, power and survivability.

You couldn't do that unless you had a wand or a scroll, the maximum is 5 spells of ninth level.

Nothing comes close to the # of skills that a rogue gets (13 maxed out at first level with int. 18 and being human)

And what happens when a wizard loses his spell components or his spellbook and is put in a dungeon? Here comes the rogue sneaking in just to get him out.

I usually think that sorceres are better than wizards, DOWN WITH PREPARING
