Vow of Poverty Damage Reduction

I was looking over the BoED/VoP and had a question about the DR ability.

First, the character gains DR 5/Magic, then DR 5/Evil, and ultimately DR 10/Evil.

My question is, does the DR/Evil supercede the DR/Magic, or would the character ultimately end up with both (DR 5/Evil and Magic, then DR 10/Evil and Magic)?

Thanks,

Depends on the wording.

If the DR is described in terms of level ranges (e.g. level X to level Y gets DR 5/magic, level Y+1 to level Z gets DR 5/evil) then the DR /evil supercedes the DR /magic.

If the DR is described in terms of minimum level (e.g. characters get DR/magic at level X, and DR 5/evil at level Y) the the DR /evil overlaps with the DR /magic.

What is the exact wording the BoED uses?

Exactly! :(

IMC, we allow the VoP PC to get both DR X/Evil and Magic. The text is murky enough that we're not going against RAW.

That's the way I'm leaning, as it does not say that the DR/Magic advances to 10. I would think you'd have both, DR 10/Evil and DR 5/Magic, once you meet the level reqs, of course.
