I have a feeling that I am alone on this...

Nope, it's something I've thought about too. I think they should do it. I did encounter a Zelda program on a website a couple years ago that did just that, and it had an editor so you could make your own adventures. Zelda Classic I think it was called, and there was one for A Link to the Past too, Open Zelda, I believe. Had an online mode, as well, IIRC.

Now they should re-release that for cube with updated graphics.

At least for a pre-ordering gimmick like OoT.

Well seeing as how they're selling a version for the GBA there's no way they'll give it away. Of course if you have the GBP you can use that to play it on your 'cube.

For anyone who may have missed it, there is a new Zelda being develpoed for the GBA.
