The Wave’s the Thing: Looking for Gamemasters!

Those folks are offering a google invite. They'll choose among submitted proposals a invite the winner to run the game over google wave.

Sound interesting and I have an idea or two.

As much as I want to mess around with Wave, I have too many games going on face to face to add another via this system, hehe.

It is a cool idea though and I would be all over it otherwise

I have never run a real-time game with maptools or fantasy grounds, so not interested in wave at all, sorry.

Eh, real-time Virtual Tabletop has its advantages over PbP - Instant answers to rules questions/clarification of anything you're not sure of on the map, there's generally a centralized storage of character sheets, combat only takes a long time as opposed to an eternity...

PbP on the other hand does not require trying to get everyone together online at the same time, allows you more time to plan your actions and your posts and tends to veer heavier on the RPing IME. (Though VT leads towards more interactive RP, I find, since you don't have to post, wait for a response, post again, wait...)

Which doesn't really have anything to do with Google Wave, but I wouldn't dismiss more RT stuff out of hand, as there are strong advantages to it.
