which forum? I have no problem with that. I am just now aware which forums this type of thing should go. Point the way, I'll delete or move the post.

and thanks for the compliment on the maps.

I'm under the impression that ENWorld closed the marketplace, but I might just be missing it.

The maps look pretty spiffy, but I think I'd have a hard time using them. My campaigns tend to move around a great deal and having a map with that much detail would only be useful, at most, a handful of times.

Do you have any plans for putting out more generic maps?

I'd agree with this - they look nice, but I would also have a hard time using them.

Hi twilsemail / NewJeffCT,
Its been my experience that you can only use any map (generic or otherwise) only a handful of times. Players remember Battlemaps and the combat that occurred on them. Even the generic ones. Use them more than a handful of times and your're in trouble as a gm.

The alternative is to wrap a part of your story around a map. Allowing the players to choose to return to the map because it becomes part of the story. This would allow the map to more useful. If you follow that route, you would want maps with great details. This only adds to the story and the player's interactions with map.

Thoughts? (anyone)

Plus, a symetrical tactical combat map isn't really a 4th edition sort of thing, is it? It's more in place for if you were playing the minatures game where the two sides are expected to be balanced, but in a D&D game that isn't the case.
