[Wanted] DireKobold needs Writers!

EOL

First Post
Starting in February DireKobold.com will be publishing one 5-15 thousand word adventure a week. Obviously I can't write all these adventures myself (well I could but they would suck), so that's where you come in.

Dire Kobold wants you!

I pay, on average, 3-4 cents a word and if you said really nice things about the Xenogenic Publishing System you might be able to talk me into 5 cents a word. In addition, I pay on acceptance.

But wait! There's more!

See your adventure get turned into thousands of slightly different adventures through the magic of Xenogenic Publishing! This system allows the DireKobold.com customer to enter the average level of his party, the number of characters, the percentage of recommended treasure, and much more. The adventure is then generated to fit those options. Here's what people are saying about it:

"This is one of the most original ideas I have seen."

"Just crazy enough to work."

"This is REVOLUTIONARY in regards to adventures."

"Hey that was my idea!"

You may be thinking, "But Ross, won't this Xeno-crap make me have to do more work?"

No, you just send me an normal adventure with a couple of notes on how you want it to scale and I'll do the rest, I'll even let you take a look at the finished product before I release it so you can offer suggestions.

For more information check out our website DireKobold.com or e-mail me eol@direkobold.com.

Operators are standing by! :D

Do you have people lined up to do the maps, or are maps the responsibility of the submitting author?

Eric

I'm very interested in submitting my creation, and I also have a couple questions about the file format(s) you need for electronic submissions. I checked the submission form and adventure guidelines, but didn't see these details.

Do you accept a finished .pdf format with maps, etc? Or do you need .rtf files that you can edit? I've been using Adobe InDesign lately, so I can submit in that format as well.

Please let us know what format you prefer. And THANK YOU for making this opportunity available to writers. I hope DireKobold is a smashing hit! I'll be subscribing myself.

I have people to do the maps, so although you need to send me a map I can figure out, we'll take care of making it look professional.

Yes, we need it in a format we can get at like .rtf or a Word .doc so that I can wire it up. :)

Hey, you already know it, but I'm interested once I get out from under my current workload.

I really think this is going to be one of the coolest sources for new adventures and I sincerely wish you lots of success.

fantasy or modern adventures? What kind/type are you looking for? Which genre's will you support as well as differnt companies of work. Do you want all generic fantasy or do you want some tailored to specific areas such as: Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, OA, Modern D20, Iron Kingdoms, etc.

Do you have someone that can do proofreading :D , otherwise I'm out.

This entire post is meant light-hearted and should be seen as a semi-jokingly but still a valid question.
