Wanted some opinions on these maps... (Updated 4-16-04, 8 villages and a city!)

From the lack of fortifications, I take it the enemy was totally exterminated....

I don't think it looks like a typical medieval setting. Given that, I think you might want to have the text emphasize the historical context for each map.

That's the neat part of doing maps for a fantasy world: You can't do it 'wrong'. While many have brough up the suburb statment (and I do note it. Don't even think I have failed to think about it hard...), the maps look 'right' in my mind for the setting I've just finished writing.

I do notice, though, that the only major comment on the maps was the suburb layout issue. It seems that they are good otherwise.
