War of the Burning Sky Question - Sorcerer's Bloodline Powers

Gregor

First Post
Hey everyone,

Ultimately, this is a question for people who have read through or played most or the entirety of the War of the Burning Sky adventure path.

I am going to run my group through this path (most likely as PbP on Enworld) and one of my players is going to use the sorcerer from Pathfinder. As you may know, those sorcerers have access to bloodlines.

Now, the player in question wants me, as his DM, to choose his bloodline and work it into the campaign. I think that is a great idea, so I wanted to pick your collective minds on what would be a nice fit within the arc of the War of the Burning Sky. Since I have not read through the whole campaign, I'm at a bit of a loss on which bloodline would be best.

If you don't know anything about the War of the Burning Sky, stop reading because its spoiler time!

The sorcerer in question is an orphan and grew up on the streets of Gate Pass. He has no idea who his parents might be. So, I was thinking of maybe the elemental bloodline (air), due to the whole Aqualine Heart thing and it might be interesting if he is a bastard child of one of the Order's high ranking clerics (a secret shame) which could come into play later.

However, I know that there may be some campaign focus on the element of air so I don't want his manifested powers to be useless at major campaign moments.

Any thoughts? Maybe a different bloodline would be better?

Thanks Dandu, but I'm trying to find a bloodline that works in the spirit of the specific campaign and has some roleplaying implications with the story.

I have resently finished running WotBS, so here are some suggestions. Most of the Bloodlines will work but here are some niches that could be filled.

Celestial: This works very well if the character is an elf or half-elf. The Shalenesti elves have very strong ties to Celestial beings. Their nobility actually has it running through their veins and grants them special powers.

Destined: Kinda a given. If the player goes through the entire WotBS, he'll become one of the greatest heroes within the known world.

Elemental: All but fire would work well. Fire is element of Ragesians and of the second module. I discourage a character wanting to play a Pyromancer.

Fey: Ties in nicely with the Fire Forest of Innenotdar or later on in the eighty module.

BTW, this would probably be better in the Pathfinder forum. [/sblock]
